Expansion Joint

Description

Expansion Joint are designed to relieve stress and control cracks on large surface area of a concrete slab. The cracks were usually caused by expansion and contraction where excessive horizontal movements occur. Expansion Joints provide good spacing between concrete slabs. 

The built-in cavity serves as a buffer for floor expansion on hot days and compression in cold days. A slab without expansion joints will crack and reduce the lifespan of the concrete slab.
